Boko Haram Terrorist Attack Killed Over 70 Nigerian College Students

October 2, 2013

Boko Haram Likely Suspect In Weekend Massacre Of Over 70 Nigerian College Students

October 1, 2013 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org – While Kenyans continue to mourn their losses from the Nairobi terrorist attack on a shopping mall by al-Shabaab, Nigeria, on the other side of the African continent, is reeling from an attack undertaken by the Muslim terror group, Boko Haram during which more than 70 college students were gunned down.

Though the incident in and of itself a serious matter, of greater concern is the realization that between Boko Haram in the West [Nigeria] and al-Shabaab in the East [Somali based, but with sorties extending into Kenya], the entire Northern half of Africa is threatened by the Islamic jihad.

The Nigerian massacre took place on Sunday.

"Gunmen, suspected to be Boko Haram sect members, on Sunday, September 29, 2013, went on rampage in Yobe State in north-eastern Nigeria, killing 78 students of the College of Agriculture, Gujba, Vanguard newspaper reported. Gujba is about 30 kilometres from Damaturu, the state capital…BBC put the number of dead at 50, while Thisday newspaper said 65 people were killed in various attacks both within and outside the college campus….[though]…security forces were still recovering more bodies, with about 1,000 students having fled the campus…the assailants were said to be wearing military camouflage with black bandanas round their heads...The attack came two months after a similar one on students of a boarding secondary school in Mamudo, near Potiskum, also in Yobe State that claimed the lives of no fewer than 29 school children…" [source, Kimeng Hilton Ndukong, Nigeria: Over 70 Nigerian College Students Massacred, AllAfrica.com]

As PipeLineNews.org reported on September 18:

"…The Nigerian government is in complete denial regarding the danger posed by the group, refusing to officially even confirm or deny that the attack took place.

Boko Haram operates from a stronghold comprised of three states Borno, Yobe and Adamawa all of which are located in the North West corner of the country and appears to have been emboldened by its recent confrontations.

Detailed in a PipeLineNews.org article published on August 14 [Boko Haram Ambush Kills Over 40 Nigerian Soldiers] the Muslim terrorists are so confident of their ultimate victory in Nigeria that they have taken the unprecedented step of warning the United States.

"…Boko Haram might well pose the biggest threat in that regard as it recently [upon a very successful campaign of horrific violence] has become even more strident, claiming that it does not fear America. In the mean time it has focused on control or at least disruption of Nigeria's booming petroleum business…"

According to the Premium Times' Ola Au'du, Boko Haram leader laughs in new video, claims sect winning war against Nigerian military

‘…The Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau, has, in a newly released video, claimed responsibility for the recent attacks in different Borno and Yobe communities including Malumfatori, Bama, Biu, Konduga, Gamboru Ngala, Gwoza, and Damaturu. Close to 100 people including about 14 soldiers were killed in the various attacks; with the latest being in Konduga over the weekend when about 44 people were killed when gunmen dressed in military uniform attacked worshippers in a mosque…We call on you all to repent and come to the ways of Allah. Forget about constitution and accept Shariah. We don't have socialism, we don't know communism, we don't want federalism, but we are Muslims…'"

Confounding logic, Nigerian leaders continue to call for "reconciliation," when none is possible when dealing with Islamic terrorists whose vocabulary does not include the word :compromise."

When your goal is to force non-Muslim populations to submit to the will of Allah through the imposition of Shari'a there can be no middle ground to entertain.

Though we have grown accustomed to the dysfunctional nature of the Department of State, it is still mildly surprising that during today's daily press briefing not a word was spoken about the increasing jihadist violence which is taking place in Africa.

As if to drive the point home, that Team O will never connect Islam with terrorism, on Friday, Secretary of State Kerry and the Turkish diplomat Ahmet Davutoglu announced the creation of what they are calling the Global Counterterrorism Forum, to the tune of $200M.

As CNS News reported, "The aim of the first-of-its-kind fund, known formally as the "Global Fund for Community Engagement and Resilience," is to support local communities and organizations to counter extremist ideology and promote tolerance. "It's about challenging the narrative of violence that is used to justify the slaughtering of innocent people," Kerry told the meeting of ministers from the 29 countries making up the GCTF." [source, Patrick Goodenough, Kerry: Potential Terror Recruits Need ‘More Economic Opportunities']

So this tired line is still being hawked by Team O, relying on the fairy-tale that jihad is driven by lack of economic opportunity rather than the Shari'a derived desire to subjugate all non-Muslim populations under the yoke of Islam.
