Amman, Jordan: Saudi King Abdullah Bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud is the most influencing personality in the Muslim World following Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyep Erdogan. There is a major change in the The Top 500 Most Influential Muslims for 2012 that has been issued for last four years by the Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre.
The RISSC is an independent research entity affiliated with the Royal Aal al-Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought. The Royal Aal al-Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought is an international Islamic non-governmental, independent institute headquartered in Amman, the capital of the Kingdom of Jordan.
This publication is part of an annual series that provides a window into the movers and shakers of the Muslim world. It gives valuable insight into the different ways that Muslims impact the world and also shows the diversity of how people are living as Muslims today.
According to RISSC nominations were evaluated on the basis of the influence that particular Muslims have had within the Muslim community and the manner in which their influence has benefited the Muslim community, both within the Islamic world and in terms of representing Islam to non-Muslims.
