Egyptian Parliament Votes To Expel Israeli Ambassador, Halt Natural Gas Exports

March 13, 2012

March 13, 2012 - San Francisco, CA - - In a move certain to heighten tensions between the West and the Muslim world, according to numerous reports including the English version of the Aram website [] Egypt's Parliament has voted to expel the Israeli ambassador while demanding that Egypt's representative to Israel be recalled.

The legislative body also called for an end to natural gas exports to the Jewish state.

The measure which declared, "Egypt will never be the friend, partner or ally of the Zionist entity which we consider as the first enemy of Egypt and the Arab nation," was adopted without a dissenting vote.

All of this is a part of a comprehensive move by the Muslim Brotherhood to force the ruling military authority, "to revise all its relations and agreements with that enemy."

Iran's PressTV is carrying much of the same information [see,] with an additional twist, suggested during an interview with Mark Glenn one of the founders of the Islamist front group Crescent & Cross Solidarity Movement, that Egypt might find Russia an eager partner after the Americans have been driven from the country.
