Noose Tightening - Another Top Iranian Nuke Scientist Assassinated In Tehran

January 12, 2012

January 10, 2011 - San Francisco, CA - Iran's Fars News Agency is reporting that Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan Behdast, who served as the director of the Natanz nuclear facility was assassinated today, "An Iranian university professor and deputy director at Natanz enrichment facility was killed in a terrorist bomb blast in a Northern Tehran neighborhood on Wednesday morning..." [source, http://english.farsnews.com/newstext.php?nn=9010170677]

The method of the attack mirrored that of previous selective hits on Iran's top directorate of nuke engineers - Massoud Ali Mohammadi, Fereydoun Abbasi-Davani and Majid Shahriyari [Davani was seriously wounded but has recovered] - in that a magnetic bomb was used.

"Two assailants on a motorcycle attached a magnetic bomb to the car of an Iranian university professor working at a key nuclear facility..." [source, http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/45953703/ns/world_news-mideast_n_africa/]

In addition to killing another key player in Iran's plan to build a deliverable fission weapon, today's assassination seems to be sending a message to Iran's leadership, that despite its recent blustering display of naval prowess in the Straits of Hormuz, outside forces maintain the ability to eliminate targets of opportunity, apparently at will inside the country.
