April 20, 2011 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - Not content to simply take over the governing structure of Egypt and foment revolution throughout the Muslim world, today the MB's spokesman, Dr. Mohammed Morsy [also a member of the MB's "Executive Bureau"], literally demanded that the U.S. Congress meet with the group, "Dr. Mohamed Morsy, media spokesman and member of the Executive Bureau of the Muslim Brotherhood(MB) demanded that US Congress hold a special session to hear directly from the MB about their programs..." The juxtaposing of the recent claims of moderation by the Ikhwan against such an aggressive demand betrays the group's base motivation - forced submission to Shari'a via intimidation and threats.
Given that there is no precedent for the U.S. Congress meeting with foreign political groups, let alone one which is dedicated to the overthrow of representative government, this MB stunt is proof that TeamObama's outreach to the Muslim world was and continues to be a disaster.
It has emboldened our enemies to the point that they are now making public demands designed to force Congress to halt its long overdue oversight of Islamist groups and individuals which are national security threats.
Furthermore it casts even more doubt on the motives and intentions of the numerous US. based MB front groups which continue to interface with this administration at various levels and on a government which would tolerate such obvious acts of intimidation.
