North African Al-Qaeda Affiliate Demands Reversal of French Burqa Ban

October 11, 2010

October 11, 2010 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - Demonstrative of a desire to advance Shari'a [Islamic law] compliance in the West, the North African terrorist group al-Qaeda in the Maghreb, AQIM has demanded that France's newly established ban on extreme Islamic dress for women [the burqa, a full body covering] be immediately reversed as a precondition for releasing 5 Frenchmen and 2 Africans captured by the group last month.

Additionally AQIM has demanded the freeing of various Islamist prisoners being held by the country.

While the issue of resisting Shari'a compliance should be a key aspect of the war on terror, unfortunately Western governments are entirely too much in the thrall of the multiculturalists to be move against these supposed "peaceful" actions by domestic Islamist groups.

Chief practitioners of these effort are the Council on American Islamic Relations [CAIR] and the Islamic Society of North America [ISNA] in the United States and in the UK, the Muslim Council of Britain which are engaged in a well funded and highly aggressive stealth jihad aimed at forcing Western governance into accepting the harsh elements of Islamic justice, knowing that is a back door method of legal subversion.

France has distinguished itself among European democracies as arguably having the best understanding of the threat that encroaching Shari'a represents and the new law reflects this sensibility.

On the other side, Britain has gone to great lengths to assuage its restive Muslim population with such accommodations as establishing over 50 Shari'a courts in the country which have been given full authority to adjudicate family law matters for British Muslims.

Rather than making England more secure however, these efforts to assuage the Islamists has only emboldened them, with recent anti-terror arrests and increasing threats in the country being indicative of the policy's failure.
