Obama And Holder Ready To Supplant War On Terror With Clinton's Disastrous Law Enforcement Model
May 28, 2009 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - Despite the effectiveness of the Bush administration's aggressive policy of combating Muslim terrorism on a war footing, proven over a period of nearly 8 years, team Obama and AG Holder have rejected the entire paradigm, replacing it with an even more harmful version of the Clinton era's law enforcement model which disastrously led to 911.
This new policy - dubbed the "global justice initiative" - actually goes quite a bit farther than simple reinstitution of Clinton's failed methodology.
Closely guarded by the administration - no one is going on the record for attribution, including FBI Director Mueller - the plan seems to be designed to destroy the historic role of the CIA and other intel agencies in dealing with external threats, supplanting their expertise with that of an untried in this venue domestic police authority, i.e. the FBI, in a move that will likely result in Muslim terrorists being treated to all of the Constitutional protections afforded U.S. citizens and prosecuted as common criminals in American courts.
The new policy, though obviously in-line and consistent with the Democrat/Obama perspective that we are not engaged in a civilizational war in which Islam is the prime motivator of terrorism, is really the only option the administration has left to deal with a terror phenomenon that it really lacks a lexicon to even discuss, now that the CIA has been written out, as a matter of executive order, of the internment/detention business.
The tremendous expansion of the FBI's mandate that this initiative will force on the agency will pose grave questions in future years as external and internal investigative techniques inevitably merge, most likely to the detriment of the rights of Americans. Additionally, it seems unlikely that the CIA, currently under a wholesale attack by the Democrat leadership - led by Speaker Pelosi - will look kindly upon a move clearly designed to diminish its role.
