Dozens Of Al-Qaeda Trained Brits Allowed To Enter Country From Pakistan

March 25, 2009 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - According to a report carried by Sky News [see, http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/World-News/Pakistan-Britons-Who-Trained-With-Extremists-Linked-To-Al-Qaeda-And-The-Taliban-Dossier/Article/200903415247530?f=rss] over 20 British citizens of Pakistani descent have relocated back to the UK after having obtained training at al-Qaeda jihad camps.

As ominous as that information seems to be, the problem is worse than it might appear.

Though it is claimed that the men were "tracked" by Pakistan's always suspect intelligence agency the ISI while they were in Kashmir, that information was never transmitted to British intelligence authorities because as an unidentified Pak official states, "we know the number of Britons engaged in what we would call suspicious activities is much higher - probably in the hundreds - but this isn't a Pakistani priority." [source, ibid]

One of the reasons why this matter "isn't a Pakistani priority," is because al-Qaeda activity in Pakistani controlled Kashmir is in large measure supported by the ISI and the governing apparatus.

"Amir Rana, of the Pakistan Institute of Peace Studies, said: "You have to be aware of the mindset here. Most of these groups have huge public support and therefore government support...Many of them are supported by the intelligence agencies, so they are very much tolerated here. They are not seen as a threat to Pakistan and they view themselves as legitimate." [source, ibid]

On December 14, 2008 Brit PM Gordon Brown revealed that the overwhelming majority of terror related activity in the UK tracks back to Pakistan, "Three quarters of the most serious plots investigated by the British authorities have links to al-Qaeda in Pakistan...The time has come for action, not words." With the number of Muslims rapidly expanding in many EU countries due to high birth rates and continued immigration, most notably outside of the UK in Holland, Belgium and France, the problems associated with lack of assimilation are growing.

Rather than requiring accommodation on the part of populations with a predominantly foreign allegiance, the hosting countries have instead capitulated to the demands of the radical Islamists, to the extent that in many of these communities Shari'a has in fact been generally recognized and are considered "no-go," areas by the law enforcement authorities. This has resulted in large indigenous and combative populations which see no reason to become Westernized.
