Parliamentary questions PVV over 'terror imam'

House member Geert Wilders and Sietse Fritsma of the Party for Freedom (PVV) want an explanation about the coming of the controversial Islamic preacher Khalid Yasin to Holland. Different countries warned that the preacher spreads hateful messages. Khalid Yasin is invited by the organisation 'discover Islam' and will twice give a lecture for converts at the Islamic University in Rotterdam.
The VVV called the arrival of the preacher 'not especially helpful for integration'.
Yasin finds that among other things Muslims must not have unbelievers as friends. The preacher also claims that Africans were infected with AIDS by America and Western lands in conjunction with help organisations, writes Metro.
The PVV wants Eberhard van der Laan to declare"How is it in heavens name possible that this sheik will be in a position to come here to spread hatred?
The party prefers that Yasin will not be allowed into Holland.
More clarity over the inviting organisation 'discover islam' must be produced. If the group gets a subsidy from the government the PVV wants this to be immediately stopped. The Islamic University defends itself against the criticism. "We are just renting a room to a speak" according to the organisation. They reacted to the confrontation over Yasin's remarks with "something radical can be found with everybody".

Kamervragen PVV over 'terreurimam' Kamerleden Geert Wilders en Sietse Fritsma van de Partij voor de Vrijheid (PVV) willen opheldering over de komst van de omstreden Islamitische preker Khalid Yasin naar Nederland. Verschillende landen waarschuwen dat de predikant haatzaaiende boodschappen verspreidt.

khalid Yasin Khalid Yasin is uitgenodigd door de organisatie ‘ontdek Islam' en zal volgende week tweemaal een lezing houden voor bekeerlingen op de Islamitische Universiteit Rotterdam. De PVV noemde de komst van de preker "niet bepaald integratiebevorderend".

Yasin vindt namelijk onder andere dat moslims geen ongelovige vrienden mogen hebben. Ook beweert de predikant dat Afrikanen met aids werden besmet door A merika en Westerse landen in samenwerking met hulporganisaties, schrijft Metro. De PVV wil dat Eberhard van der Laan verklaart "hoe het in hemelsnaam mogelijk is dat deze sjeik in staat wordt gesteld om hier haat te komen zaaien?" De partij ziet het liefst dat Yasin geen toegang krijgt tot Nederland. Ook moet meer duidelijkheid over de uitnodigende organisatie 'ontdek islam' komen.

Als die groep subsidie van de overheid krijgt, wil de PVV dat de geldkraan onmiddellijk wordt dichtgedraaid. De Islamitische Universiteit verweerde zich tegen de kritiek. "We verhuren enkel een zaal aan een spreker", aldus de organisatie. Op de confrontatie met een aantal van Yasin's uitspraken wordt gereageerd met "over iedereen kan wel iets radicaals worden gevonden".
