Unindicted Terror Co-Conspirator Co-Opting Jewish Organizations

By BEILA RABINOWITZ and WILLIAM MAYER

October 7, 2008 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - The Islamic Society of North America, an unindicted co conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation Hamas funding case and an American wing of The Muslim Brotherhood, is joining with Jewish organizations and synagogues for a weekend with the theme "Confronting Islamophobia and Anti-Semitism Together."

ISNA and several Islamic and Jewish organizations have put together a document which, "offers suggestions as to how linked mosques and synagogues across the United States and Canada may hold a successful joint program."

The program is scheduled to take place on the weekend of Friday November 21st to November 23rd.

The weekend is billed as "A Weekend of Twinning" and is detailed in a letter written by Walter Ruby, the Muslim-Jewish Relations Program Officer of The Foundation for Ethnic Understanding, which developed the program and is headed by rabbi Marc Schneier.

In it Ruby writes:

"I would like to extend special thanks to the many people who gave valuable input into the creation of this document. They include: Karen Mock and Zubeda Vahed, Toronto-based experts on Islamophobia and anti-Semitism; M. Ali Chaudry, the New Jersey-based President of the Center for the Understanding of Islam; Naoma Nagahawatte, New York City Director of the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC) and Brie Loskota, Associate Director of the Center for Religion and Civic Culture at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles." Given the track record of both ISNA and MPAC [the Muslim Public Affairs Council], the idea of Jewish groups partnering with these organizations indicates a serious lack of judgment. Moreover, the alliance grants undeserved legitimacy to these key agents of Islamism as well a serving to endorse their specious allegation of rampant Islamophobia. http://www.pipelinenews.org/index.cfm?page=isnaid=10.7.08%2Ehtm
