CAIR provides "salad and party goods" as radical Islamists and leftists 'have a blast' for dead"peace activist" who aided terrorists

March 26, 2006

MIM: As Debbie Schlussel points out, "peace activist" Maria Ruzicka's elevation to sainthood by the secular left, after being "loved to death" by the enemies she so deeply emphasized with, belies the fact that she to aided and abetted America's enemies, under the guise of humanitarian concerns while callously and maliciously endangering the lives of American soldiers.

Ruzicka' s posthumous 'sanctification' by the radical Islamists of CAIR and other groups (see below) is more proof, if any is needed , of what David Horowitz described in his book as the" Unholy Alliance" between the radical leftists and radical Islamists.

The obscene hypocrisy regarding violence on the part of Muslims vis a vis non Muslims was highlighted by the recent torture and murder of a so called "Christian peacemaker" who was tortured and shot by his Iraqi kidnappers. Instead of condemning the brutal execution - his fellow 'peacemakers' "prayed for the kidnappers" and blamed the United States government.

The travesty was complete when the American and coalition forces they had been jeopardising though their aid to the enemy freed the hostages who stated to journalists that they had not "wanted force to have been used in an attempt to free them".

As Dutch cartoonist Gregorious Nekschot pointed out - it's only the 'progressives' who are open to other cultures.

Apparently the Christian 'peace makers' have a soft spot for their terrorist abductors. In their twisted weltaanschauung the Muslims who tortured and murdered their American colleague were only acting according to their culture, and it is not for Westerners to make value judgments and condemn them ,since they are to be held responsible for their brutality. After their rescue by the American and coalition partners the "peace makers" said they had not wanted violence used to free them!

According to Dr.Daniel Pipes in his blog "Working undercover as Christian Peace Activists";

Christian Peacemaker Teams showed its colors responding to the abductions: "We are angry because what has happened to our teammates is the result of the actions of the U.S. and U.K. government due to the illegal attack on Iraq and the continuing occupation and oppression of its people." Note the total absence of "anger" at the people who kidnapped its members.

MIM: In a Time Magazine article the Head of Human Rights Watch, Kenneth Roth, whose group never to advocate for terrorist 'rights', revealed the group's the double standard - that if the alleged abuse is being carried out by non Westerners, it is acceptable and can continue.

"...Saddam was an awful dictator, but there are many awful dictators in the world, and toppling an awful dictator, in my view, does not justify military intervention..."

----------------------------

MIM: For their part - the radical Islamist Islamic Society of North America, whose name is their mission statement posted an announcement about the release of the remaining three "Christian Peacemakers" on their website under the heading "Freedom Joyous Freedom."

ISNA stated that their joy was tempered somewhat after one of the four "was found dead" implying that one of the hostages had croaked of natural causes so as not to have to report that it was Islamic terrorists who called themselves "The Swords of Righteousness Brigades" that had tortured and executed the radical "peace activist" before dumping his mutilated body . But with corpses turning up daily in Iraq these days why should Muslim organisations like ISNA go into technical about the torture and shooting death of a Western hostage?

MIM: Announcement on the ISNA website:

Friday, March 24, 2006

Plainfield, IN - The Islamic Society of North America expresses joy and gratitude to God that the three Christian Peacemakers, James Loney, Harmeet Singh Sooden and Norman Kember have been found alive and rescued from captivity. We are tempered in our joy by remembering their colleague and partner Tom Fox who was found dead a few weeks earlier. We continue to be concerned about the many others who have been abducted in Iraq, including countless innocent Iraqis and American journalist Jill Carroll. We pray that peace and stability will soon come to Iraq and we encourage all those working towards this end to continue their courageous efforts.

Meet the Real Marla Ruzicka

By Debbie Schlussel

When The New York Times, "Nightline," and CNN nominate a young blonde for sainthood ahead of the Pope, it's time for a reality check.

Especially when that blonde, Marla Ruzicka's sole purpose is to legitimize our enemies, cause problems for U.S. troops already in harm's way, and morally equate dead terrorists with victims of 9/11.

Jane Fonda lite—but without having been spat upon by right-thinking veterans.

The recent death of Ruzicka, an American "activist" in Iraq, elicited an orgy of gush—everywhere from Time Magazine to The Guardian of London to Al-Jazeera.

A 28-year-old San Franciscan, Ruzicka was in Iraq "to help the Iraqi people," proclaim the multi-orgasmic mainstream media memorials to her. Even the Wall Street Journal's normally excellent Robert Pollock mourned "Ambassador Marla" for being a less gnarly America-hater than the others.

Et tu, Robert?

With her cascading blonde hair and youthful looks, Ruzicka didn't look like your average greasy-haired, pot-smoking, hackey-sack-playing, crunchy radical. And the media swooned over her, the newly-anointed Vanity Fair pin-up in Birkenstocks.

But looks are deceiving. Marla Ruzicka was no mere peace activist.

She formed the Campaign for Innocent Victims in Conflict (CIVIC), the goal of which was anything but CIVIC during the War on Terror or ever. Ruzicka's aim was to force the U.S. government to get an "accurate" count of "innocent civilian" deaths by U.S. troops and blackmail America into paying monetary settlements for each death.

But many of those dead included assorted terrorists, jihadists, and other collaborators and uprisers against Americans. Ruzicka had the gall to insist that these Afghani and Iraqi dead, terrorists or not, get recognition and sympathy equal to victims of the 9/11 attacks.

More outrageous, Ruzicka got taxpayer money to fund her aiding-and-abetting pursuits. Where was Marla Ruzicka on 9/11? Hint: Not asking al-Qaeda for money to count and compensate U.S. victims of terror.

Ruzicka began as a professional protester for left-wing groups in her native San Francisco. First, she was active with the anti-capitalist, anti-business Rainforest Action Network activist. Then, she was an AIDS activist, interrupting an AIDS-related speech by Colin Powell. As an anti-Bush protester, she wore a sarong with a protest-statement visible after she ripped it off her body in front of the then-Texas Governor.

Eventually, Ruzicka joined far-left Human Rights Watch and Global Exchange, falling down another rung in bad fashion taste and dumping the sarong for a hijab, as she traveled first to Afghanistan and then to Iraq. She didn't wear the hijab out of any new-found sense of Pan-Arabia modesty, but rather to be down with her new Islamist homies.

Ruzicka went to Iraq as an activist for Code Pink, which is more aptly titled "Code Pinko" by FrontPageMag.com writer Jean Pearce. Code Pink is an assortment of neo-Commie America-haters who love Fidel Castro (and Cuba under him) and Marxist Sandinista thugs (thankfully, long ago deposed) and have ties to environmental terrorist groups (Animal Liberation Front and Environmental Liberation Front).

That's bad enough.

But in Iraq, where Ruzicka traveled with the group, Code Pink functioned as a pro-Saddam—and now pro-"insurgent"—group of anti-Americans. Code Pink was in Iraq in October 2002, months before U.S. troops went in to the country, the following March. The darlings of Al-Jazeera (and our own media, unfortunately) Code Pinkos acted as human shields and anti-American protesters in the Iraqi streets, much to Saddam Hussein's delight.

But it gets worse.

Remember the Americans burnt to a crisp and hung from a bridge in the Fallujah uprising? Code Pink donated over $650,000 to those Fallujah terrorists (Code Pinkos call them "refugees.")

Back on U.S. soil, Code Pink harasses badly wounded American soldiers, protesting them outside the Walter Reed medical facility in Washington, DC. Code Pinkos disrupted last week's Congressional confirmation hearings on UN Ambassador nominee John Bolton, shouting and unfurling banners against him. They are also shadowing military recruiters to foil recruiting efforts.

The upside: there won't be enough soldiers to protect Code Pinkos' rights and freedoms.

This is Marla Ruzicka's beloved Code Pink. It's time to stop worshipping at the alter of this false heroine.

There are plenty of young American men and women Ruzicka's age and younger who've been brutalized or killed in Iraq and Afghanistan. But none of them got the wall-to-wall fawning coverage that Ruzicka got—unless they were anally raped or formerly played pro football.

That should tell you something about the media's outlook on whose life is more worthy and whose death is more important: American soldiers fighting for freedom—bad; vociferous activist bimbette hampering those American soldiers and helping their terrorist killers—very, very good.

While it's a sad day when any American gets killed by Islamic terrorists, it's measurably less sad when that American aided and abetted them—and belittled our troops.

For Marla Ruzicka, some might call it, poetic justice.

MIM:Note the Samina Faheem Sundas is wearing a scarf in the picture in the above right. Her new found adherence to shari'a may be part of the conditions set by CAIR for their provision of "salad and party goods" at this event.

A previous picture of her with CAIR's leadership on the group's website was doctored to make her appear to be "hijabbed". The ruse was noticed and widely publicised showing how CAIR engages in "Stalinist style" disinformation.

For it's part,CAIR contributed this gushing endorsement of AMV's actions aimed at stopping government counter terrorism measures such as the 'special pre registration of non Americans' .

"...What a wonderful event (Feb. 22, 2004). May Allah bless you for your wonderful event. It is a testament to your crucial work. The wonderful people and organizations that are like minded, in support of human rights. You make us pray for cloning. I wish Allah created a few more of you for the benefit of all people..."http://www.amuslimvoice.org/html/body_what_others_say_.html

Muslim community honors Marla Ruzicka

http://www.amuslimvoice.org/html/body_interfaith_dinner.html

American Muslim Voice along with CAIR, MCA, Bay Area Muslims, Arabs and fellow Americans honored the life and work of Marla Ruzika with an inter-faith dinner at the Muslim Community Center (MCA), Santa Clara,on June 10, 2005.

Marla Ruzicka was killed in Baghdad on April 16, 2005 by a car-bomb blast in Baghdad. She was a tireless humanitarian and defender of human rights. Originally from Lakeport, CA, this long-time Bay Area resident worked to soften the impact of US military intervention on civilians abroad. She helped USAID and the Senate distributes humanitarian supplies in Afghanistan. In Iraq, she set up an organization to determine the needs of Iraqis affected by the US invasion – an essential service for the international humanitarian community.

Samina Faheem Sundas, the American Muslim Voice Executive Director, sent the following thank you letter for the guests and patrons who made this inter-faith dinner successful:

Thank you for your kind words and support. I am thankful to Allah for his guidance and all his blessings. This event was very important to me because this young woman lived an exemplary life and died serving innocent Iraqi civilians. I wanted to make sure that her parents felt welcomed and honored.

I have received phone calls from Medea Benjamin of Global, Marla's parents, Nadia , the mother of a fallen American soldier and few of our Muslim community members to say thank you to us for organizing such an elegant event. The fellow Americans enjoyed meeting Muslims and were very touched by the soft & kind hearted women who were crying. I would like to take this moment to encourage all Muslims to consider joining our Campaign " AMV makes activism and community building safe and easy" so we can put a Muslim face in every community. As we all know how Lodi story is being covered. On one station I saw two different responses from fellow American. They were asked the same question, how do they feel about this incident, are they concerned about their safety. The first one said he does not have any complain because he knows some Muslims and they are good people, the other woman said that yes she is very concerned and constantly looks over her shoulder. The only difference is human connection.

The media reporters were great. We got coverage on channel 2, 4, 5. 7, 11 and some local stations. I am learning a lot about them. I was asking them to have dinner with us but they all said that they are OK. After passing by them again I would say please join us for dinner. They told Medea that Samina is treating us as guests but we are not use to that and we are not suppose to eat on duty. This is the second time that I have been told that I see them before I see their camera. So this is tip of the week let us practice Islam in every aspect of our life. That is all what I was doing not treating them special but treating them as human beings and our guests.

Let us truly work together in the future so we can serve fellow humans better.

I am so grateful to all my friends and AMV community builders for being there. Except two( due to personal unexpected events) all of our local Bay Area member were there.

I would also like to thank CAIR and MCA for co- hosting with AMV and 21 organizations for co-sponsoring including SBIA. Reshma Yunus of Semah was the technical assistance for Marla DVD. Amina from CAIR and I worked on flyer and the program.

Last but not least I would like to thank Marla' parents and friends. And my extended family( my fellow American ) for their continuing support. These are relationship I have made in the past 23 months.

This event was truly a labor of love. Most of the food was donated by Chandni, Mehran and Zafran. MCA provided the facility, CAIR provided all the party goods and salad, Salam cola provided the drinks, my friends Aseya Iqbal, Firdos Kamran and Huma Siddiqi provided pasta. Zeya Mohsin provided riata and Areena Chudary provided pita bread. I cooked Channa daal and mixed vegetable curry. Shanaz Kamil and Romana Malik made the desert, Yaseen's corner set up the tea and water stations. The community members were great in serving and other assistance. Our videographer gave us a deep discount and the professional photographer Scott offered to take photos. Copy America of Palo Alto donated the time so we can make a nice book and an award AMV presented to Marla's parents.

Last but not lease I would like to thank Uncle Abdul Aziz and his MCA team for their contribution of setting up the hall so beautifully and for the best hosts. being So you see this was truly a team effort.

Best regards,
Samina Faheem Sundas

What happens if a woman shows up for a CAIR photo-op without a hijab? No problem! They'll just Photoshop one on!

These photos were kindly sent to me by Jihad Watch reader Ana. Above is a screenshot of CAIR's front page when this photo was featured; it has now been taken down, perhaps while the photo doctorer attends Photoshop classes. The Google cache of the front page is here.

Here is the picture alone:
