MIM: It's about time that non Muslims started showing as much 'respect' for the Koran as Muslims are doing to the American flag and make it clear that not only do we not worship Allah - and don't give a damn about their Koran!
Muslims worldwide are outraged about something they admit never happened and asserting that it is their right to kill non Muslims as a result of their warped perceptions of reality.
It's time they realised that for non Muslims the Koran is not a holy book, nor is Mohammed anything more then an old man who is alleged to be a pedofile, for taking a nine year old girl as a wife. Instead of dhimmitude in the guise of sensitivity to Muslim religious sensibilities, it's time non Muslims realised that the same disregard Muslims have for their own lives is how they regard the lives of others and reciprocated the respect which Muslims have for non Muslims. No apologies - no excuses.

Muslim Reaction to Newsweek Apology: Too Little, Too Late
Distrust Intensifies Following Koran Desecration Allegations

Newsweek magazine may have apologized, but to many in the Muslim world, it's too late and much too little.
Muslims brushed off an apology to readers that appeared in this week's edition of the newsweekly that acknowledged errors in a story alleging U.S. interrogators at Guantanamo Bay desecrated the Koran, Islam's holy book. Interestingly enough, Newsweek has an Arabic issue but there was no mention of the apology in this week's issue. Critics called it a strategic move in the face of the overwhelming and violent reaction. The report sparked protests in Afghanistan, where at least 15 were killed and more than 100 injured.
Many Muslims believe Newsweek succumbed to pressure from the U.S. government to backtrack. Many believe that that whatever the truth may be, the harm has been done.
Saudi Arabia was the first country to officially react by asking for an investigation. It was followed by blanket condemnation and demands for investigation from all over the region by officially appointed mainstream clerics or governments.
In Egypt, the Grand Sheikh of Al-Azhar, Sheikh Mohammed Sayed Tantawi, the highest Sunni authority in the world, usually a subdued man, demanded immediate action. "The Koran's desecration is a great crime and should be dealt with at once," he said.
Reaction to the Newsweek article, which appeared in the May 9th issue, has been particularly virulent for a number of reasons.
In the Muslim world, Guantanamo has become the symbol of the confrontation between Islam and the U.S. The fact that this allegedly happened in Guantanamo makes things much worse. A member of the Muslim Brotherhood said perhaps if it had happened somewhere else, it would not have resonated so much.
Secondly, the Koran is part of the Muslim identity. By desecrating the Koran, one is desecrating the identity of all Muslims. In Pakistan and Afghanistan, desecration of the Koran is punishable by death, which explains the more violent reaction to the Newsweek story.
Many analysts believe this episode will just increase the level of distrust. The Arab world, especially the Middle East, is more likely to believe such reports after the prison scandal at Abu Ghraib in Iraq.
Moreover, many believe that a soldier or interrogator would not act without his or her superior's approval and say this episode is yet another reminder that the United States is at war against Islam.
One moderate cleric said, "the U.S. keeps on handing out reasons for extremists to become more ferocious. These stories are amazing recruiting tools and more young people will now join the fight."
The story has offended many non-Arab Muslims too. In Malaysia and in Nigeria, protesters chanted anti-American slogans and in Tajikistan, a Central Asian country abutting Afghanistan, a group of 300 clerics wrote a statement saying that, "if an investigation does not happen within three days, we will launch a jihad against America."
The so-called Jihadi Web sites are also full of calls for more killings of Americans.

Afghan clerics threaten Muslim holy war over Koran

A group of Afghan Muslim clerics threatened on Sunday to call for a holy war against the United States in three days unless it hands over military interrogators reported to have desecrated the Koran.
The warning came after 16 Afghans were killed and more than 100 hurt last week in the worst anti-U.S. protests across the country since U.S. forces invaded in 2001 to oust the Taliban for sheltering Osama bin Laden and his al Qaeda network.
The clerics in the northeastern province of Badakhshan said they wanted President Bush to handle the matter honestly "and hand the culprits over to an Islamic country for punishment."
"If that does not happen within three days, we will launch a jihad against America," said a statement issued by about 300 clerics, referring to Muslim holy war, after meeting in the main mosque in the provincial capital, Faizabad.
The statement was read out by Abdul Fatah Fayeq, the top judicial official in the mountainous, conservative province near the borders of Tajikistan and China.
Muslim clerics have traditionally been teachers and leaders in Afghan society and throughout its history they have rallied public opinion and sometimes led uprisings against unpopular rulers and foreign occupiers.
Newsweek magazine said in its May 9 edition investigators probing abuses at the U.S. military prison at Guantanamo Bay found that interrogators "had placed Korans on toilets, and in at least one case flushed a holy book down the toilet."
Muslims consider the Koran the literal word of God and treat each book with deep reverence.
The United States has tried to calm global Muslim outrage over the incident, saying disrespect for the Koran was abhorrent and would not be tolerated, and military authorities were investigating the allegation.
GROWING RESENTMENT
Another group of clerics in the north demanded punishment for those responsible for desecrating the Koran but did not call for holy war, the governor of Kunduz province said.
The protests began in the eastern city of Jalalabad on Tuesday. Violence broke out there on Wednesday and there were clashes in several other places on Thursday and Friday.
Scattered protests on Saturday were mostly peaceful, while on Sunday no demonstrations were reported.
While some Afghan analysts say Muslim rage over the desecration report sparked the protests, not hatred of America, there is growing resentment of U.S. troops, especially in southeastern areas where they are most active.
The United States commands a foreign force in Afghanistan of about 18,300, most of them American, fighting Taliban insurgents and hunting militant leaders, including bin Laden.
President Hamid Karzai, a staunch U.S. ally, has urged the United States to punish anyone found guilty of desecrating the Koran. He said foreign hands were behind the disturbances, but did not identify them.
The anti-U.S. protesters have also criticized Karzai and his U.S.-backed government, attacking and torching provincial offices and police stations as well as U.N. and aid agency compounds.

Indonesian Muslims protest alleged desecration of Quran by U.S. troops
About 50 protesters angry at the alleged desecration of the Quran, the Muslim holy book, by U.S. troops at the Guantanamo Bay prison camp demonstrated Friday outside three hotels in eastern Indonesia, demanding they hand over any Americans inside.
The demonstrators were blocked from entering the hotels in the eastern city of Makassar, witnesses said.
"We just want to warn them that their countrymen have insulted Islam," said protest leader Ibnu Hajar, adding that the demonstrators were not intending to harm the guests in any way.
It was not clear whether any Americans were staying at the hotels.
According to the May 9 edition of Newsweek magazine, interrogators at the U.S. prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, placed copies of the Quran in washrooms to unsettle suspects, and in one case "flushed a holy book down the toilet."
The report sparked three days of violent anti-U.S. protests in Afghanistan.
Most than 90 percent of Indonesia's 210 million people are Muslim, making it the world's most populous Muslim nation.

How Islam will dominate the world

Allah (swt) says in the Qur'aan:
هُوَ الَّذِي أَرْسَلَ رَسُولَهُ بِالْهُدَى وَدِينِ الْحَقِّ لِيُظْهِرَهُ عَلَى الدِّينِ كُلِّهِ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ
"It is he (Allah) who has sent his Messenger (saw) with guidance and the religion of truth, in order for it to be dominant over all other religions, even though the Mushrikoon (disbelievers) hate it." (EMQ at-Tawbah,
And the messenger Muhammad (saw) said:
"إن الله زوى لي الأرض. فرأيت مشارقها ومغاربها. وإن أمتي سيبلغ ملكها ما زوى لي منها
"Verily Allah has shown me the eastern and western part of the earth, and I saw the authority of my Ummah (nation) dominate all that I saw." (Saheeh Muslim, hadeeth #2889)
As Allah (swt) has said; this religion (i.e. Islam) is the only religion of truth; and the reason why he has sent us this deen is "in order for it to be dominant over all other religions." Thus, Allah (swt) never sent us this deen as a mere spiritual belief. This deen has been sent to us by almighty Allah (swt) in order for it to be implemented, and for the whole of mankind to abide by it.
The only one who would hate for Islam to dominate the world is the Kaafir Mushrik (non-Muslim), as Allah (swt) said, "…even though the Mushrikoon (disbelievers) hate it." Consequently, any "Muslim" who dislikes for the Sharee'ah to be implemented (out of being afraid to be labelled "extremist" for example) has committed a negation of Eemaan, and thus left the fold of Islam for hating what Allah (swt) has revealed.
Why would the disbelievers and hypocrites hate for Islam to be implemented? Simply because they do not wish for their corruption, evil, crime, cheating, oppression, dishonesty, fraud, lies, tyranny, freedom, and deception to come to an end, and for justice (Islam) to prevail.
However, this worldwide domination of Islam which has been promised by Allah (swt) does not necessarily mean that every single person on earth will become Muslim. When we say that Islam will dominate the world, we mean as a political system, as the messenger Muhammad (saw) prophesised that the authority on earth will belong to the Muslims; i.e. the believers will be in power and the Sharee'ah of Islam will be implemented in every corner of the earth.
So how will Islam dominate the world when the majority of people will never accept it?
Indeed, the majority of people on earth will always detest Islam and choose not to live by the Sharee'ah. Allah (swt) says:
وَمَا أَكْثَرُ النَّاسِ وَلَوْ حَرَصْتَ بِمُؤْمِنِينَ
"And most of mankind will not believe even if you desire it eagerly." (EMQ Yoosuf, 12: 103)
Therefore there are three main ways in which a state or country can become Daar ul-Islam (the domain of Islam):
- The majority of its citizens embrace Islam and implement the Sharee'ah on their own accord
- A group of Muslims rise, overthrow the government and implement the Sharee'ah by force
- The Islamic state carries out Jihaad as its foreign policy and removes the government
If the Muslims are unable to convince their people (e.g. through peaceful da'wah) to embrace Islam and implement the Sharee'ah, it then becomes an obligation upon them to unite and rise against the government by force, regardless of whether they are the majority or the minority. Allah (swt) says:
وَأَنِ احْكُمْ بَيْنَهُمْ بِمَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ وَلا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَاءَهُمْ وَاحْذَرْهُمْ أَنْ يَفْتِنُوكَ عَنْ بَعْضِ مَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ إِلَيْكَ
"Rule by what Allah has revealed (the Qur'aan and Sunnah) and do not follow their vain desires, but be aware of them lest they turn you far away from some of that which Allah has sent down to you…" (EMQ al-Maa-idah,
This verse clearly underlines the obligation of implementing the Sharee'ah; but as well as this Allah (swt) says "and do not follow their vain desires," meaning, rule by the Sharee'ah even if they (the people) desire something else. The verse is so clear-cut and proves that the Sharee'ah must be implemented by force even if the people do not want it. Furthermore, Allah (swt) also says:
وَقَاتِلُوهُمْ حَتَّى لا تَكُونَ فِتْنَةٌ وَيَكُونَ الدِّينُ لِلَّهِ
"And fight them until there is no more Fitnah (kufr and shirk) and worship (obedience, submission etc.) is for none but Allah…" (EMQ al-Baqarah, 2: 193)
One of the greatest forms of kufr and shirk today is the implementation of man-made law; therefore, since man-made law is a form of shirk, one of the only ways of eradicating it from the face of this earth is by Jihaad (fighting). In fact, it is an obligation upon us to fight against the fitnah (kufr and shirk, such as man-made law) until it ceases to exist. Islam has always been spread by the sword, and it will continue to do so.
Unfortunately, nowadays one of the greatest misunderstandings of the divine texts is in reference to the verse, "Laa ikraaha fid-Deen - There is no compulsion in religion…" (EMQ 2: 256). This verse has been falsely interpreted to mean that we cannot force Islam upon the people. However, if we refer to the understanding of the Sahaabah we can clearly see that this is not the case at all.
"There is no compulsion in religion" means that people should not be forced to embrace Islam i.e. become Muslim. But this does not mean that we cannot force Islam as a law and order upon the people. The messenger Muhammad (saw) said:
أمرت أن أقاتل الناس حتى يقولوا لا إله إلا الله فإذا قالوها عصموا مني دماءهم وأموالهم إلا بحقها وحسابهم على الله
"I have been ordered to fight mankind until they say, "Laa ilaaha illallah wa anna Muhammadar Rasoul-Ullah - There is none worthy of worship except Allah and Muhammad (saw) is the messenger of Allah." If they say that, their blood and wealth will be saved from me, except from the right of Islam (the Sharee'ah); and their accountability will be with Allah." (Musnad al-Imaam Ahmad)
Therefore, the messenger Muhammad (saw) and the believers were ordered to fight the people until they embrace Islam or live by Islam (and remain a Kaafir). If they become Muslim their blood and wealth will have sanctity, but they will still not be saved "from the right of Islam," meaning that they must still abide by the Sharee'ah (as a law and order). But if they remain non-Muslim, they must at least live by the laws of Islam; either way, the people have a choice of which religion they want to follow, but they have no choice of whether to live by the Sharee'ah or not – this is the meaning of "except from the right of Islam."
It has also been authentically proven that our messenger Muhammad (saw) used to order his companions to invite the disbelievers to Islam. If they refused to embrace it or accept it as a system of governance, then fight against them until Allah's deen is dominant and implemented:
اغزوا باسم الله. وفي سبيل الله. قاتلوا من كفر بالله. اغزوا ولا تغلوا ولا تغدروا ولا تمثلوا ولا تقتلوا وليدا.
وإذا لقيت عدوك من المشركين فادعهم إلى ثلاث خصال (أو خلال). فأيتهن ما أجابوك فاقبل منهم وكف عنهم. ثم ادعهم إلى الإسلام. فإن أجابوك فاقبل منهم وكف عنهم. ثم ادعهم إلى التحول من دارهم إلى دار المهاجرين. وأخبرهم أنهم، إن فعلوا ذلك، فلهم ما للمهاجرين وعليهم ما على المهاجرين. فإن أبوا أن يتحولوا منها، فأخبرهم أنهم يكونون كأعراب المسلمين. يجري عليهم حكم الله الذي يجري على المؤمنين. ولا يكون لهم في الغنيمة والفيء شيء. إلا أن يجاهدوا مع المسلمين.
فإن هم أبوا فسلهم الجزية. فإن هم أجابوك فاقبل منهم وكف عنهم. فإن هم أبوا فاستعن بالله وقاتلهم...
The messenger Muhammad (saw) said: "Fight in the name of Allah and in the way of Allah. Fight against those who disbelieve in Allah. Make a holy war, do not embezzle the spoils; do not break your pledge; and do not mutilate (the dead) bodies; do not kill the children.
When you meet your enemies who are polytheists, invite them to three courses of action. If they respond to any one of these, you also accept it and withhold yourself from doing them any harm. Invite them to (accept) Islam; if they respond to you, accept it from them and desist from fighting against them. Then invite them to migrate from their lands to the
If they refuse to accept Islam, demand from them the Jizyah (tax). If they agree to pay, accept it from them and hold off your hands. If they refuse to pay the tax, seek Allah's help and fight them…" (Saheeh Muslim #1731)
"If they refuse to accept Islam, demand from them the Jizyah (tax). If they agree to pay, accept it from them and hold off your hands. If they refuse to pay the tax, seek Allah's help and fight them." The Jizyah is a small charge or tax which every non-Muslim must pay to the Khaleefah (leader of the Muslims). In return, the non-Muslim will be under a covenant, thus making it prohibited for any Muslim to violate his sanctity. This order from the messenger Muhammad (saw) is very clear; if they refuse to embrace Islam, demand from them the Jizyah i.e. implement the Sharee'ah over them. If they refuse both of these options, to embrace Islam or live by it as a system of governance, "seek Allah's help and fight them."
Conclusion
So how will Islam dominate the world? Most likely by force! If the people do not embrace Islam and implement the Sharee'ah on their own accord, it becomes an obligation upon the Muslims to fight and implement Islam. In countries such as

ليبلغن هذا الأمر ما بلغ الليل والنهار ولا يترك الله بيت مدر ولا وبر إلا أدخله الله هذا الدين بعز عزيز أو بذل ذليل عزا يعز الله به الإسلام وذلا يذل الله به الكفر
"This matter (Islam) will keep spreading as far as the night and day reach, until Allah will not leave a house made of mud or hair, but will make this religion enter it, while bringing might to a mighty person (a Muslim) and humiliation to a disgraced person (who rejects Islam); might with which Allah elevates Islam (and its people), and disgrace with which Allah humiliates disbelief (and its people)." (Musnad al-Imaam Ahmad)
Any person who mocks this concept of Islam dominating the world has one of the attributes of the Munaafiqeen and could have committed one of the negations of Islam – disbelieving in the sayings of Allah and his messenger (saw).
